I'm honored to be posting these photos of my dear friend Jori and her husband Chris's gorgeous spring wedding. Jori and I have known each other since we were in elementary school, so it's difficult to express how meaningful it was to photograph her wedding. I hope that the beauty of their union is conveyed through my photos, as Chris, Jori, and their families were bubbling over with joy during the entire eight hours I was with them.

Renée and Bruno's wedding was one of those days when I couldn't stop thinking, "How'd I get so lucky?" A day of sunshine, cacti, dusty feet, kisses, and paper planes, it's among the most picturesque weddings I've had the honor of photographing or attending. I'm lucky to have photographed it not only because it was such a gorgeous day, but also because my photographing it almost didn't happen.
When Renée first contacted me, she and Bruno had been looking for a wedding photographer for quite awhile, and had finally stumbled upon my website while searching for non-traditional wedding photographers in Mexico City. Throughout the past few months, we've sat down in Mexican cafés over coffee and empanadas to get to know each other and discuss wedding-day details.

Looking at these photos, I'm filled with gratitude to have a job that allows me to connect with wonderful new friends, to document one of the most precious moments of their lives.

Kim and Jeff's wedding theme was "Less is More," which set the stage for an elegant, minimalistic day. The bridesmaids wore black dresses of their choice, and the flowers were red roses--so classic! Jeff has three sweet children who were among the attendants.
Venue: Pine Barn Inn, Danville, Pennsylvania
DJ: Chad Evans, Max Media Video Production
Special thanks to my assistant of the day, John Nicholson.

On one of December's coldest days, Chris and Jori braved the weather for a snowy engagement session with me, starting at the Yellow Breeches, making a pit stop at Camp Hill's Cornerstone Coffeehouse, and then ending in Harrisburg. Winter shoots are difficult for obvious reasons: the cold can make everyone uncomfortable, including the photographer. But the results are worth it. I love the warmth of Chris and Jori's romance in the middle of the Yellow Breeches' frozen trees.
Jori and Chris had their first date at the Cornerstone Coffeehouse in Camp Hill ;)
